World Trade Center - Beirut Style - Courtesy of Israel

World Trade Center - Beirut Style - Courtesy of Israel

In yesterdays blog, I inadvertently made a comment that even at the time, slipped by me and it never really sank in what I had said until I had the chance to sit and think about it. The comment was... They have determined that a strategic plan of action is to kill peoples mothers and sisters and therefore will force an end to the aggression. Now that I sit and think about it, we literally are supporting a government that has a policy that sanctions the killing of civilians. Targeted attacks on civilians are exactly what we as Americans used as the basis for the war on terror and as a definition, are what we consider terror acts performed by terrorists. The Israeli government has decided, as a policy and with our support, to terrorize the people of Lebanon and Palestine by targeting civilians, civilian infrastructure, and unrelenting bombing strikes on non-military targets. And we as a nation, the United States of America, are providing the financial and logistic support to carry out these actions. We are part and parcel of a series of brutal war crimes being committed in our names. Have we not come full cycle? Is it true that we have become those individuals that we have despised since 9/11? Have we tried so hard to rid this world of evil that our methods have become the epitome of evil? Are we responsible for the deaths of innocent women and children, in buildings, much like the World Trade Center, and are we not providing the bombs the Israeli government is using to burn, mutilate, destroy, and disintegrate, yes literally disintegrate, the bodies of these poor children so that we wont even be able to extract enough DNA from them to determine their identities? Wont people in Beirut be removing body parts from buildings for months during clean up, just like our rescuers did at the World Trade Center? Wont the hatred that we felt after 9/11 also be the same hatred shared by our brothers in Beirut who have no explanation for why their sons or daughters were slaughtered for something they had no control over? Shouldn't we empahthize with the people, just like our relatives who are trying to find out if someone they love is still alive, dead or buried in rubble? And just like after 9/11, shouldnt we go home and hug our children and tell them we love them and cry for the mothers and fathers and children who will never be able to hold the ones they love ever again.

How can I make my fellow Americans see, how can I make them understand that the life of a child dying in the arms of their mother in Beirut is just as important as the life of the child who died in the arms of her mother at the World Trade Center in New York City? How can I make my fellow Americans see that the same old lady crushed under the World Trade Center is the same lady that is crushed inside her home by an Israeli bulldozer in Gaza? How can I make my fellow Americans realize that our government and the government in Tel Aviv is responsible for the deaths caused by ongoing indiscriminate bombings and the continued death, burnt bodies and mutilation that we ourselves considered an act of war when it occurred in New York City. If our government is truly fighting a war to stop terror, then it should stop the terror being delivered to the people of Lebanon and Palestine. If it fails to immediately stop the on going bombing and terrorist tactics, then it is evident that the war of terror is just Bushspeak for legitimizing a Crusade against Islam.

Israel Deliberately Targets Civilians

Israel Deliberately Targets Civilians
...houdini '06...

The rights advocacy group, the Human Rights Watch, has compiled information that indicates that Israel was complicit in the targeting of civilians in Lebanon. Please take this opportunity to review my previous blogs were I have indicated and provided a factual basis for the history of Israeli war crimes in respect to targeting civilians. This has been Israel's way of attempting to "break the morale" of Hezbollah or Hamas or any other group that opposes Israel. They have determined that a strategic plan of action is to kill peoples mothers and sisters and therefore will force an end to the aggression. However, once again, they fail to realize that they continue to strengthen the resistance and ongoing US support for their actions only swells the ranks of those willing to do anything to attack back. Israel has historically engaged in just such military blunders and every operation that they undertake just pushes them farther away from the chance of a peaceful life for Israeli civilians. However, they have never had to pay the price that any other country would have to pay for committing war crimes because of their strategic value to the US. I can not believe that any intelligent politician in the United States who actually cares about the situation, wouldn't look at it and say that strategically, supporting the Israeli's regardless of there "declared" form of Democracy, we are a safer, and a better nation. That could not be further from the truth. The United States ongoing battle with Muslim fundamentalist revolve around the unilateral support for Israel, regardless of the war crimes they have committed. As long as Israel continues to commit war crimes, target civilians, target civilian infrastructure, torture and rape civilians, and do it with the consent of the American Government, there will never be a day of peace for the United States. One step, just one step by the United States government to assist the Palestinian and Lebanese people would do more to fight terrorism than all the bombs, wiretaps, lies, and invasions of the Bush administration.
As long as the United States continues to blindly support Israel, and continues to allow them to commit the atrocities that they are committing, there will never be peace. You can not kill everyone in the world because as long as there is one, just one, individual who knows the truth about what is occurring in the Middle East, there will never be peace.

Israel Continues to Lose Battle with Hezbollah

I don't know about anybody else, but I sure am not impressed with Israel's ability to strike at Hezbollah. The battle is an undeclared victory for Hezbollah in the fact that they are holding back one of the largest and certainly the best supplied military powers in the world. Even though Israel has been quite successful at killing women and children, and they seem to be quite good at destroying civilian infrastructure, they just don’t seem to be able to strike at Hezbollah leadership or put an end to the rocket attacks. Incursions by Israeli troops into Lebanon have occurred at a high price in relation to ground gained. Israeli troops have routinely been ambushed and have taken heavy casualties including the disabling of many Israeli tanks. After watching US troops roll through Afghanistan and Iraq, there is a big difference between the military of the US and the military of Israel. In a military that requires mandatory service of its soldiers, you get the worst of soldiers with the best of soldiers. And a soldier on the front lines in Lebanon may have to serve beside someone who would have a problem hitting a camel with a baseball bat from 3 feet. And you also have to consider, in the fog of war, historical evidence has proven these untried and untested troops typically fire large bursts of rounds and have absolutely no clue as to what they are firing at or what they are hitting or they simply hold up their weapons and pretend to fire. Even if it is unsaid at this time by most of the Israeli troops, but in the back of their minds, they are wondering what the hell are they doing in Lebanon fighting a battle over 2 soldiers. It is the blockheaded stubborn Zionist mentality that they don’t care how many Lebanese civilians die, they don’t care how many Lebanese or Hezbollah soldiers die, they don’t care how many Israeli civilians die and they don’t care how many Israeli soldiers die, damn it, we have to make them pay for taking those two soldiers. If you take a step back and look at the big picture, that is like saying, I don’t care if the whole forest burns down, damn it, I am going to get these two sticks to catch fire if it kills me and everyone around me. So to see that, in their zealous lust for death, they are indiscriminately bombing and killing is no surprise. It goes back to my blog yesterday where I provided a factual basis for Israel’s inability to enter into a conflict without ever having an exit strategy. Their exit strategy is to blow the hell out of them until they decide that they can not take any more. What they fail to realize, is the same thing that Nazi Germany failed to realize during WWII during its bombing blitz of London, the greater the destruction, the higher the resistance and the greater the morale. You can not bomb people into submission, it has never worked historically. The bombing of Serbia by the US during the Bosnian-Serbian crisis only served to have the average Serbian, line up on bridges with t-shirts emblazoned with a target. The massive US “shock and awe” attack on Iraq neither shocked nor awed anyone and the US continues to fight resistance troops in Iraq. The bombing campaigns in North Vietnam from Linebacker 1 to Linebacker 2 and so forth, provided nothing but a lot of holes in the ground, and the resistance eventually won that battle.

So as we look at Israel’s assault on Hezbollah, it is clear that they are not striking at leadership, they are making very little progress in stopping rocket attacks, they have done more to encourage Arab fighters to join the cause than Syria and Iran combined, and they are no safer now, and probably less safe, than they were a month ago. So tell me, other than the ability to commit war crimes, kill women and children and drag the name of the US through the mud with them, what has Israel accomplished. And when they leave, who will have to pay to clean up the mess. You got it, it will be the American taxpayer, the same person who paid for the bombs that were given to Israel, will be the same people to come back and provide aid to the Lebanese to rebuild the country. The only sense this war makes is that people making bombs are making money.

Prisoner Swap Inevitable after Israel Kills 1000's

Israel has taken the long and bloody route to the solution to the kidnapping of the soldiers, both in Gaza and in Lebanon. There are two points to consider in the onslaught of burnt bodies and mutilated corpses of women and children. First, Israel has historically been unable to unilaterally disengage from any fighting. They never have an exit strategy, just an entrance strategy. Secondly, Israel was the originator of the kidnap your enemies and negotiate a trade policy. So to feign shock or horror that these soldiers, and I did say soldiers, legitimate military targets, were kidnapped and to unleash such a storm of death on women and children afterwards, just shows the level of cowardice that we are dealing with. And I dont think that you will find too many places in this world where you will here anybody refer to an Israeli soldier as having either high morality, bravery, or courage. Bravery and courage in the face of a 3 year old that you drop a bomb on, burn and mutilate, is something every Jew should be proud of.

To look at the first factor, Israel is unable to develop any exit strategy when it comes to killing Arab women and children. It most be something that they just love to do, because whenever they start, they just cant stop. They even go back to places like Qana where they historically have had success killing women and children, just so they can repeat their success. When Nasser declared sovereignty over the Suez Canal in 1956, the French, British and our friends the Israelis, invaded Egypt to protect their interest in the canal. Of course, Israel had no interest in the canal other than to take the opportunity to participate in killing Arabs. With Soviet backing of Egypt and the fear of a greater conflict, the US President Eisenhower demanded an immediate removal of ALL troops that had entered Egypt. The Canadian Secretary of State for External Affairs Lester B. Pearson came up with the idea of creating an international force that would act as a buffer between the troops. This was the start of Israels love/hate relationship with the UN. This was the very first UN peacekeeping mission and earned Lester Pearson the Nobel Peace prize and created a force that Israel would despise and attack to this very day. As I had mentioned in a previous blog, Israel was on the verge of crossing the Red Sea and moving into the major cities in Egypt in 1967. Once again, with the upper hand, Israel had made a decision to lie to the international community and hide their intentions of crossing the Red Sea and occupying the major cities in Egypt and kill, rape, and mutilate as many Egyptians as they could get away with. American intervention through use of surveillance equipment on boats on the Mediterranean and through over flights of U2 spy planes revealed their intentions, brought it to the international community for scorn and therefore thwarted their plans. Israel was so upset by the fact that they could not kill any more Arabs, that they attacked the USS Liberty who was in part responsible for the intelligence gathering that stopped their attacks. Let us not forget Sabra and Shatilla massacres. Once again, given the opportunity to watch Arab blood spill, the Israelis help Christian Militia round up and execute 700 to 800 Muslims. Eventhough, Israel had full control of the battlefield at the time of the massacre, they once again, had not received enough blood to relish and found it necessary to spill more. Once again, no exit strategy, just an ongoing strategy to kill as many civilians as possible.

Secondly, lets look at Israels history of kidnapping of enemy soldiers and civilians to use them as bargaining chips. In the case of Ron Arad, Israel went on a kidnapping spree and had kidnapped up to 60 Lebanese, labeled as terrorists. As a whole, Israel was going to release in excess of 400 prisoners for the bodies of the three Israeli soldiers that were being held. Let us not forget that the Mosad, kidnapped, tortured and executed, by their own admission, any suspects that they believed were involved in the 1972 killings of the Olympic athletes in Munich. In the most recent episode, the Attorney General of Israel had to make a determination that all the kidnapped 64 Palestinian ministers could not be used as negotiating chips. If the AG had to rule on it, they were planning on doing it.

In reviewing these facts, it leads us back to a very real and simple solution. Israel could have easily negotiated for the release of the soldiers, implemented tighter security surrounding their troops, avoided another such kidnapping, secured the soldiers release and be working towards a lasting and just peace in the middle east. But instead, the Israelis have done exactly what they have historically done. They have taken a minor situation, blew it out of proportion, took the opportunity to kill at least a thousand women and children, have no exit strategy and are looking forward to killing more civilians. Historically, Israel has been a nation that revels in war crimes, enjoys killing and takes the opportunity to butcher Arabic women and children at will. They will eventually settle on a prisoner swap but they will have taken the opportunity to spread more of their brand of genocide. But what would you expect from a nation of cowards who does their dirty work and hides behind the skirt of America.
